In the body, the amino acid L-Arginine changes into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is a powerful neurotransmitter that can help blood vessels relax which can improve circulation, which in turn may have a positive effect on hair growth. Collagen is primarily made up of three nonessential amino acids: Proline, Glycine, and Hydroxyproline and it is Proline, (which is also the main component of keratin), a fibrous wool-like substance, that makes up our hair and nails.
